The first objective of the CGIA is to promote health, safety and welfare to life and property through education and training of those involved in construction codes and related laws. Our mission is to promote the objectives of the International Code Council and the Building Officials Association of Georgia, as well as provide a more uniform interpretation and enforcement of construction codes throughout our coastal region.
The CGIA is a non-profit, made up of city and county inspectors located in the Coastal Georgia Region between South Carolina and Florida.
Over the years, the CGIA has recognized our community responsibilities and has contributed to local charities and established a college scholarship fund.
The CGIA has contributed to the Savannah Area Red Cross, Salvation Army and the Toys For Tots Campaign. In addition, the association has distributed $2500.00 in scholarships to deserving local college students.
